Sarah: The Power of Faith | Sermon by Tony Evans

The power of faith Tony Evans sermon 2021 – The simple definition of faith is believing something with absoluteness despite not knowing the source and possibility.

Prayer is the key to everything but Faith is the fundamental element of the effectiveness of prayer. Prayer without faith is a waste of time.

The bible tells us that when we have faith and put our trust in God, He will be with us. He will answer our prayers and give us peace.

The bible in so many verses and chapters, talked at length about faith. Below are some of the bible verses on faith:

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

Galatians 2:16 Yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.

Mark 5:36 Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”

1 John 5:5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

2 Corinthians 5:7  For we walk by faith, not by sight.

John 8:24 unless you believe that I am who I claim to be, you will die in your sins.

John 7:38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.

Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Mark 11:22-24  And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

1 Corinthians 2:5 That your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Matthew 21:22 And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.

Luke 1:37 For nothing will be impossible with God.

1 Corinthians 16:13: Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.

Romans 5:1-2 Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

Psalm 119:30 I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I have set my heart on your laws.

Romans 1:17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

James 1:5-6 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.

The above are bible verses on Faith. The reoccurrence of faith in the bible tells us how important faith is in the Christian life. A faithless Christian is a lifeless Christian. The strength of a Christian is dependent on the level of his faith in Christ Jesus. The bigger the faith, the more effective our prayers and works. Tony Evans in his sermon titled the power of faith critically examined and explained the fundamentality and essence of faith in all Christian endeavors.

    No faith, no miracle!!!
