SCRIPT: – Proverbs 24:16 “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.”

The United States detonated two nuclear weapons over the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6 and 9 August, 1945, respectively. The two bombings killed between 129,000 and 226,000 people, most of whom were civilians, and remain the only use of nuclear weapons in armed conflict. Japan was left in ruins and highly devastated. The Japanese leaders and people demonstrated resilience. They came up with rebuilding plans and, with determination, rebuilt their economic and social lives. Japan rose from that adversity to become one of the leading super powers and technological giants among the comity of nations. This story of Japan bouncing back after suffering a great setback holds great lessons for you and me as believers. The message is that we should keep faith in God, never lose hope and never give up. There is an anointing for bouncing back; God can bring the best out of the worst situation and turn your night to day.

In Job 14:7-9 (our Fire Scripture), the Bible says, “For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground. Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.”

Beloved, the power to bounce back and do greater exploit is available in the Holy Spirit. You must give your life to Jesus and become a child of God for His Spirit to dwell in you. In John 7: 37b-38, Jesus said, “If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” The Holy Spirit is your Helper and Enabler. He is with you to help you to bounce back from setbacks and adversities. It is your responsibility to seek and get His help. No matter how down and out you may be, He will raise you up again. When Samson was down and out, he cried to God in prayer and his strength was restored. He killed more people in his death than in his lifetime.
