SCRIPTURE: “9 If any man have an ear, let him hear. 10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.” – Revelation 13:9-10
The law of substitution, especially in Christianity, is when the enemy plans something bad for a Christian and God makes that bad thing to happen to the enemy instead of the Christian. The Lord will apply the law of substitution when it comes to His children and the demons will go back to the sender to attack him or her instead of the righteous. The Fire Scripture for today, especially verse 4, shows how much God loves His own and how much they are precious in His sight. It also shows how ready God is to defend them.
If you are an avid reader of the Bible, you will know how many times God has applied the law of substitution for the people He loves dearly. He replaced the Israelites who would have died in the Red Sea with the Egyptians (Exodus 14:27-28). He saved Daniel from the lions but his enemies were devoured by the lions immediately they entered the den (Daniel 6:24). Also, the three Hebrew men left the fiery furnace not burnt nor scathed. but the men who threw them in died from the fire and heat of the furnace (Daniel 3:22) Haman died in the place of Mordecai and the Jews he plotted to exterminate. (Esther 7:10). Similarly, it was the sword that Goliath planned to use in slaughtering David that was used to cut off his head (1 Samuel 17:51).
For you to enjoy all these benefits, you must be precious to God and be an asset to Him. For this to happen, you must be born again and become serious with your Christian life. You must totally surrender your life to God and let Him use you for His glory. The Bible says that the righteous is delivered from trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead (Proverbs 11:8). Henceforth, this shall be your testimony, in the name of Jesus.
- O God, help me to become Your child, in the name of Jesus.
- Anything in my life that is making God ashamed of me, get out of my life, in the name of Jesus.
- O God, help me to be holy, in the name of Jesus.
- Every power that wants to kill me, kill yourself, in the name of Jesus
- Every power calling my name for evil, call your own name and die, in the name of Jesus.
- Powers calling more powers to attack me, let the thunder fire of God scatter and destroy them all, in the name of Jesus.
- Thank You, Lord, for fighting all my battles for me, in the name of Jesus.
