May We Not Suffer the Things We Know Nothing About

Some of the most dangerous things in life are the things you never saw coming.

Not the enemy you know. Not the battle you prepared for. Not the storm you saw on the horizon and braced yourself against.

The truly dangerous ones are the silent ones. The hidden ones. The ones working in the background while you are going about your normal day — laughing, planning, dreaming — completely unaware.

Think about it. Every person who ever received a terrible medical diagnosis never woke up that morning expecting it. Every family that lost a loved one in a sudden accident had no idea that would be their last conversation. Every person who was betrayed by someone they trusted never saw the knife coming.

There are dangers that carry no warning. Attacks that send no notification. Evil that does not announce itself before it strikes.

But here is the most powerful truth you will read today — God sees everything you cannot see.

While you are unaware, He is aware. While you sleep, He neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4). While you go about your day completely blind to what is happening in the spiritual realm, God is already standing between you and everything that is coming against you.

The Bible says in Psalm 91:3 — “Surely He will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.” A snare is a trap. A trap is something you walk into without knowing it is there. And God says — He will save you from it.

This prayer is for everyone who has ever felt an unexplained unease. For everyone who has ever sensed that something is not right but cannot explain what. For every person who wants to cover themselves, their family, and their future against the things they do not even know to pray about.

Pray this prayer today. Pray it with everything in you. What you cannot see, God has already handled.

Heavenly Father,

I come before You today in humility and in total dependence on You. You are the all-seeing God. You are the all-knowing Father. There is nothing hidden from Your sight — not in the earth beneath, not in the heavens above, not in the darkest corners of the spiritual realm. You see it all, and I am grateful that I belong to You.

Lord, I thank You for the times You protected me and I never even knew I needed protection. For the accidents that did not happen. For the sicknesses that never touched me. For the evil that was planned against me and was cancelled before it could reach me. For every arrow that was fired in the dark and missed because Your hand was covering me. Lord, for all of this — thank You.

Every danger that is lurking without my knowledge — Lord, destroy it before it reaches me. Every trap that has been set on my path — let Your angels uproot it before my foot gets near it. Every evil plan being engineered against my life, my health, my family, my finances, my destiny — Father, expose it, scatter it, and render it powerless in Jesus’ name.

According to Psalm 91:3 — You save me from the fowler’s snare. I receive that salvation today. Every snare the enemy has set for me — both the ones I know about and the thousands I am completely unaware of — I declare them broken by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Lord, according to Isaiah 54:17 — “No weapon formed against me shall prosper.” I hold onto that word today. The weapons being formed in secret, the plots being hatched in darkness, the evil being spoken over my name in hidden places — none of them shall prosper. Your Word has declared it and I receive it as settled.

Father, I pray for divine intelligence. Give me a spirit of discernment. Let Your Holy Spirit alert me to danger before it arrives. Let me sense when something is wrong even when everything looks fine on the surface. According to John 16:13 — the Spirit of truth guides me into all truth. Let Him guide me away from every path that leads to destruction, even when that path looks safe and attractive to my natural eyes.

Lord, I pray for my family. Cover them with Your blood. Go before them in every journey. Stand behind them as their rear guard. Let no sudden evil befall them. Let no strange sickness attach itself to their bodies. Let no accident locate them. Let no manipulation or deception find a place in their hearts. According to Psalm 91:10 — *”No harm will overtake them, no disaster will come near their dwelling.”* I stand on this promise for every person under my roof and every loved one connected to me.

Father, I pray against every witchcraft and dark power that is working against my life in secret. Every evil altar raised against me — let fire from heaven consume it now. Every evil covenant spoken over my name without my knowledge — let the blood of Jesus cancel it completely. Every generational curse operating silently in my bloodline that I am not even aware of — Lord, Your Son Jesus Christ already bore the curse on the cross. I receive my freedom today according to Galatians 3:13.

I pray against every sickness and disease that is trying to enter my body silently. Let my immune system be strengthened by Your healing power. Let every cell in my body function exactly as You designed it. Let no hidden disease find a dwelling place in me. According to 3 John 1:2 — “I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you.”* I receive total health — body, soul, and spirit.

Lord, I ask for angelic protection over my life from this day forward. According to Psalm 91:11 — “He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” Let Your angels go ahead of me. Let them walk beside me. Let them stand guard around everything that belongs to me. Let them fight the battles I cannot even see happening.

And Father, for the things I do not know enough to pray about — the dangers I cannot name, the attacks I have not identified, the traps I do not know exist — Lord, cover me there. Your knowledge is infinite. My understanding is limited. Where my prayers fall short, let Your perfect will fill in every gap. Protect me in the places my eyes cannot reach and my mind cannot imagine.

I declare that I am covered. I declare that I am protected. I declare that no evil that I know of and no evil that I know nothing about shall prosper against my life.

In Jesus’ mighty and matchless name, I pray  Amen. Amen. Amen.

Most of us remember to pray about the things we can see — the job we need, the bill we cannot pay, the relationship that is struggling. But the wisest prayer is the one that covers the things we cannot see, the things we did not think to ask about, the things already in motion that we have no awareness of.

That is the kind of God we serve. A God who does not wait for you to identify every danger before He steps in. A God who covers you in your sleep, in your ignorance, in your blind spots.

You are not alone in this. You never were.
