Joyce Meyer Sermon : You Are Full of Good Things – Part 1

Joyce Meyer Sermon : You Are Full of Good Things – Part 1 : Do you tend to think negatively about your life and yourself? On this episode of Enjoying Everyday Life with Joyce Meyer, learn about spiritual tools you can use to change your thoughts, and start enjoying your life!

In this sermon, Joyce Meyer opens by challenging us to shift our inner dialogue—moving from focusing on flaws to declaring our true identity in Christ. Rather than condemning ourselves, she encourages us to:

Examine ourselves not to beat ourselves up, but to identify weaknesses and pray for change. This self-reflection is helpful only when rooted in grace, not guilt.

Stop negative self-talk, as it hinders growth. Constantly berating yourself (“I’m stupid,” “I never do anything right”) reinforces those beliefs. Instead, affirm what is true of you in Christ.

Using an analogy from physical training, Meyer explains how coaches assess weaknesses not to shame athletes, but to strengthen them. Similarly, self-awareness should lead to growth, not guilt.

She explains a key biblical principle from Philemon 1:6:

“…that the communication of your faith might become effectual by acknowledging every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.”

Our faith becomes powerful and effective when we deliberately recognize and declare the good God has placed within us through Christ.

Joyce highlights the transformative power of confession—declaring God’s truth out loud. She shares a personal story where negative self-talk invited a spiritual attack, but speaking Scripture (“I am the righteousness of God in Christ”) drove away the negative presence. She underscores that our words carry spiritual weight—they either open doors to the enemy or reinforce our spiritual identity.

Joyce’s message invites us to embrace the fullness of who we are in Christ—not through pride, but through faith. As we begin to intentionally speak truth over ourselves, our faith becomes active, our identity is strengthened, and we open ourselves to genuine transformation.

Let this be your invitation today: speak life, declare good, and walk in the power of your new identity in Christ!
