Joyce Meyer Daily Devotional For Today September 7, 2024

Joyce Meyer Daily Devotional For Today September 7, 2024.

    Theme: Eliminate Excuses.

For the Lord your God walks in the midst of your camp to deliver you and to give up your enemies before you. Therefore shall your camp be holy, that He may see nothing indecent among you and turn away from you.

    Deuteronomy 23:14 (AMPC)
If a habit is controlling you, you will not enjoy the best that God offers you. Don’t make excuses for bondages that seem to have a hold on you. Denial and excuses will keep you from enjoying your life.

Whether it’s a drug or alcohol addiction or a bad temper, you cannot blame it on your genes or your family. God makes a way of escape for us and promises a good life for those who are born again. Claim your rights as a child of God. Say, “I am a new person in Christ; I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (see Philippians 4:13).

Prayer of the Day: Father God, I come to You today, in the name of Jesus, and ask that You help me overcome my problems with a good attitude, and with total reliance on You and Your Word, knowing that only through You can I do all things, because of Your strength, amen.

    Today’s words:

What God promised you is still going to happen. Now do your part and rise up. Believe it and watch what God will do.

Isaiah said, “God is longing to be good to people who are looking for His goodness.” Are you looking for God’s goodness? Are you expecting favor, believing to rise higher, to accomplish what He put in your heart? God meets you at the level of your expectations.

Be confident in who God made you to be. Others may be more talented. Celebrate them. You’re not competing with them. You don’t have to prove to them that you’re talented too. You have gifts that they don’t have.

Everyone is not going to be happy when you succeed. Everyone won’t celebrate you reaching new levels. That’s okay. Stay focused on what God has called you to do.

Stay in peace. Let God fight your battles. The Psalmist said, remain calm in times of adversity. That’s passing the test. That’s what allows God to take you where you’ve never dreamed.
