Father, I Receive Divine Grit to Keep Going When Others Say “Give Up”
Introduction
Faithful and Ever-Present Father, You are the God who strengthens the weary and empowers those who feel like quitting. When human voices say “give up,” Your Spirit whispers, “press on.” Your Word assures us that endurance produces victory and that those who wait on You will renew their strength. Today, we come before You to receive divine grit—the inner strength, spiritual stamina, and holy determination to keep going against all odds.
Prayer: Receiving Divine Grit and Perseverance
Heavenly Father,
We thank You because You are our strength in weakness and our hope in difficult seasons. We acknowledge that the journey of purpose is not always easy, but You never abandon those You have called.
Lord, Your Word declares, “Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall run and not be weary” (Isaiah 40:31). Therefore, we receive divine grit to keep going when fatigue sets in and when discouragement tries to overwhelm us.
As You strengthened Elijah when he was exhausted and ready to quit, feeding him for the journey ahead (1 Kings 19:4–8), strengthen us for the road before us. Let one encounter with You give us strength for many miles.
Father, just as Paul endured persecution, rejection, and hardship yet declared, “I press toward the mark” (Philippians 3:14), we receive grace to press forward. The voices telling us to give up will not silence the call You placed within us.
Your Word says, “Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap” (Galatians 6:9). Therefore, we reject weariness, frustration, and hopelessness. We embrace endurance, resilience, and unwavering faith.
Holy Spirit, fortify our inner man. Build spiritual toughness, emotional stability, and mental strength within us. Let divine grit rise in us—grit that refuses to quit, grit that keeps believing, and grit that finishes well.
