Life can sometimes leave us feeling broken. Disappointments, betrayal, loss, unanswered prayers, and difficult seasons can leave wounds in our hearts. But the good news is that God is a restorer. He specializes in healing broken lives and making people whole again.
No matter how broken a situation may look, God has the power to restore, rebuild, and renew.
The Woman Who Was Made Whole
One powerful story of restoration in the Bible is the story of the woman with the issue of blood.
In Mark 5:25–34, the Bible tells us about a woman who had been suffering from bleeding for twelve years. She had spent all her money seeking medical help, but instead of getting better, her condition only grew worse.
When she heard about Jesus, she believed that if she could just touch His garment, she would be healed.
When she pushed through the crowd and touched His clothes, something miraculous happened. Immediately the bleeding stopped.
Jesus Christ turned and said to her:
“Daughter, your faith has made you whole; go in peace and be healed of your affliction.” (Mark 5:34)
In that moment, the woman who had been broken for years was restored and made whole.
Just like that woman, many people today carry hidden pain and brokenness. But the same Jesus who healed her is still able to restore lives today.
Prayer: From Being Broken to Being Whole
Heavenly Father,
I come before You today with every broken piece of my life. You see the pain in my heart, the disappointments I carry, and the struggles that weigh me down.
Lord, Your Word says You heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds. Today I surrender every hurt, every burden, and every broken area of my life to You.
Just as You restored the woman who touched the garment of Jesus, I ask that You restore me.
Where my heart has been wounded, bring healing.
Where my faith has been weak, renew my strength.
Where my life feels shattered, rebuild and restore it.
Lord, turn my brokenness into a testimony. Let my life show that You are the God who restores, heals, and makes people whole again.
I declare that I will not remain broken because Your healing power is working in my life.
