Lord Lift Me Out Of Every Pit Of Delay, Stagnation and Establish My Steps

Lord, Lift Me Out of Every Pit of  Delay and Stagnation and Establish My Steps

    Introduction

There are seasons when life feels like a deep pit  where no matter how hard we try, progress seems slow, prayers feel unanswered, and hope begins to fade. But our God is not only a Deliverer; He is the Lifter of men.

This Prayer, “Lord, Lift Me Out of Every Pit of Delay and Stagnation and Establish My Steps,” is a cry from the depths of the heart to the One who makes a way where there is none. When your destiny seems buried under the weight of delay, remember that God specializes in sudden lifting.

Psalm 40:2 declares, “He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.” That same God is still in the business of bringing people out of pits and setting them in divine places of stability and purpose.

Biblical Meditation — Scriptures of Deliverance and Establishment

Psalm 40:1–2: “I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit…”

Isaiah 60:1: “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”

Psalm 37:23–24: “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord… Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down.”

Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you.”

These verses reveal that God not only lifts but establishes  He doesn’t just rescue, He repositions you for lasting success and stability.

Bible Stories — When God Lifted People Out of Pits

    1. Joseph (Genesis 37–41): Betrayed and thrown into a literal pit, Joseph’s journey seemed over. Yet, that pit became the pathway to the palace. What others meant for evil, God turned for good.

    2. Jeremiah (Jeremiah 38:6–13): The prophet was cast into a muddy cistern, yet God sent Ebed-Melech to lift him out  proving that divine help always finds us.

    3. David (1 Samuel 30): In Ziklag, David faced despair after losing everything, but he strengthened himself in the Lord  and God restored all.

Beloved, your pit is not permanent; it’s only a setup for your next elevation.

Prayer — Lord, Lift Me Out of Every Pit of Delay and Stagnation and Establish My Steps

    Heavenly Father,
I come before You today with a humble and broken heart. Lord, lift me out of every pit of delay, stagnation, and frustration in my life. Every situation that has slowed my progress, I surrender it into Your hands.

By Your mercy, pull me out of every valley of despair and place me upon the rock of progress. Every invisible chain holding my destiny down — let it break now by the power of the Holy Spirit!

Father, establish my steps in Your will. Let my life align with Your divine purpose. Direct me into the path of favor, acceleration, and divine opportunities. Every lost season, redeem it by Your grace.

Just as You lifted Joseph from the pit to the palace, lift me to my next level. Establish my feet on solid ground and let my testimony be complete.
    In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prophetic Declarations — My Rising Is Now

I declare that I am lifted out of every pit of delay and disappointment.

My days of stagnation are over; I walk in divine progress and purpose.

Every door that has been shut against me opens by fire and favor.

I am established in the will of God and positioned for destiny fulfillment.

My steps are ordered, my path is clear, and my rising shall not be hindered.

Conclusion — Standing on the Rock of Establishment

The God who lifted Joseph, David, and Jeremiah is the same God lifting you right now. You will not remain where the enemy placed you. Your time in the pit is over, and your season of divine establishment has begun.

Walk boldly your steps are now being ordered by the Lord, and your destiny is being repositioned for greatness.
