Joel Osteen Mother Dodie Osteen’s death : The lead pastor of Lakewood Church, pastor Joel Osteen and his wife Victoria Osteen has taken to social media to announce the death of their mother, mother in law and grandmother, Dolores “Dodie Osteen.
Dodie Osteen who is the mother of Pastor Joel Osteen and the wife of John Osteen died today, July 30, 2025 at the age of 91. She was a co-founder of lakewood church, having co-founded the church with her husband, John Osteen in in 1959.
After a dramatic and miraculous healing from terminal cancer in 1981, God called Dodie into a special ministry of prayer. Dodie Osteen was born on the 22 October 1933 and she dies at the age 91 years old (July 30, 2025).
She is survived by her children pastor Joel Osteen and Paul Osteen and grand children, Jonathan and Alexandra Osteen etc.
Announing the death Dodie Osteen his mother, pastor Joel Osteen took to Instagram and other social media platform to write:
It is with a heavy heart that Victoria and I, along with our family, announce the passing of our cherished mother and grandmother, Dolores “Dodie” Osteen. She was the beloved matriarch of Lakewood Church, an inspiration to millions of people around the world, and a faithful servant of God. Known as ‘Mama Dodie’ to the entire Lakewood family, together, we celebrate her amazing life and lasting legacy. She passed of natural causes, peacefully at her home. She was 91 years old.
