Night Prayer Wednesday July 12 2023
Gracious and loving Father, As the day comes to a close and the night embraces us, we come before You with hearts filled with thanksgiving. We are grateful for the gift of life, the countless blessings, and the mercies that have accompanied us through this day. We acknowledge Your presence and seek Your guidance as we enter into a restful sleep. We lay our burdens, worries, and anxieties at Your feet, knowing that You are our loving and caring Shepherd.
Merciful and compassionate God, In Your abundant grace, we ask for forgiveness for our shortcomings and weaknesses. Cleanse us of our sins and grant us the strength to overcome the temptations that may lie ahead. Help us to extend this same mercy and forgiveness to those who have wronged us, knowing that forgiveness brings healing and freedom.
Heavenly Father, we entrust ourselves to Your loving care as we surrender our concerns and troubles to You. In the stillness of the night, may Your peace surround us and guard our hearts and minds. Grant us a restful sleep, free from disturbances and anxieties. Renew our strength as we sleep so that we may awaken with a refreshed spirit and a hopeful outlook for the day ahead.
Lord, we pray for a better tomorrow—a day filled with Your favor, goodness, and blessings. As we close our eyes tonight, we trust in Your promises and hold onto Your word. May the assurance of Your presence be a guiding light, leading us towards a future that exceeds our expectations.
