SCRIPTURE: “So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” – Isaiah 59:19.
What is a snare? It can simply be described as a trap set to catch something, a prey. A snare is often set to capture, limit, weaken and incapacitate the victim. Sometimes, snares are visible, but oftentimes invisible. It is a tragedy therefore to walk into a snare unknowingly. It is even more deadly and foolish to walk into a snare with one’s eyes wide opened. Spiritually this could be as a result of ignorance or over confidence in oneself, arrogance or when a person undermines God’s power. Either consciously or unconsciously, physical or spiritual, snares don’t come with a good experience, neither does it yield good results.
The Bible talks about the “snare of the wicked”, and “the snare of the fowler. Take note beloved, no good man sets a snare. It is often the handiwork of the wicked, men with negative thoughts and imaginations. Men that seek to entrap others like birds, preventing them from being high flyers, achieving any good thing. These are the snares that entrap people’s glory, destiny, virtues, breakthroughs, and so on. This snare in our scripture is talking about the rising of evil men against the righteous. They rose with wrath, utter displeasure and anger. Their rising can be compared to an overflowing stream that is capable of swallowing a person. What an overwhelming description of the enemies wrath! So angry that they would rather prefer to destroy their victims.
Alleluia! We have our consolation in God who is always on our side to save and to deliver us in the name of Jesus. He is the power that breaks open the snare of the fowler, and out we escape! John 8: 36 declares, that whosoever Jesus has set free is free indeed! This is your kingdom right! I declare upon your life, that today you are set free from every snare of the wicked in the name of Jesus Christ.
Remember, vain is the help of man. Woe is one who makes the arm of flesh his confidence. There’s only one Source of help that is sure and reliable, that is God Almighty, our Ever Present Help in times of trouble. He will yet deliver you from every evil trap. You shall not become a prey of wickedness of the wicked in Jesus’ name.
Never trust in yourself or lean on your own understanding, when you acknowledge Him, in all your ways He will direct and guide you, Proverbs 3:5-7.
Let the word of God be your compass, read and meditate on it daily. Let it dwell in you richly such that you walk in His way and do His will always. Be watchful and pray against capturing powers, and their evil intents. Capture and deal with them before they capture you! Put on the whole armour of God, ever ready for enemies of your glorious manifestation. Defend your faith in God through Christ Jesus, having done all remain standing and strong in the Lord. May the Lord be there for you always in the name of Jesus.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- Father Lord, let me never depart from the place of Your glorious covering, in the name of Jesus.
- Agenda of wickedness to trap my soul, fail woefully, in the name of Jesus.
- By the power of God, the snare of the fowler is broken and I am set free, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Where is the Lord God of Elijah, set on fire every trap of wickedness prepared for me and my family,in the name of Jesus.
- Evil traps catch your owners and not me, in the name of Jesus.
- Let the wickedness of the wicked return upon their heads, in the name of Jesus.
- I regain and recover every good thing…..( mention them; virtues, opportunities, favour, time, blessings, money, health, achievements, etc) that the enemy has captured from me, in the name of Jesus.
