Joyce Meyer Daily Devotional Setting Boundaries -There is a lot of depression, mood disorders and anxiety going on around the world today, but we are told that there is a solution to all forms of emotional and mental issues.
The first step is to be able to admit to yourself that you have an issue and also seek help. it is the duty of the church and groups to create a plat form or society or group where people can freely and shamelessly come and say or express what is bothering them, a platform where they can speak without being judged or shamed, where they know that their words are safe.
Some people cannot afford to visit a therapist or psychologist either for financial constraints or time constraint. since churches are a part of of the society and are more like a family unit, it would help greatly if they make available this platform or sharing groups.
The more you hide your disorders, the more they have powers over you, you must understand that you are not alone in your issue, you are not weird or a flawed person, it can happen to any one and there is always reason, it could be physical, psychological or even spiritual, speak up and begin your healing process.
God has ways of getting us out of depressions, he has ways of getting us out of isolation and getting us to be completely healed but we have to know his words, Psalm 119:105 “Thy Word Is a Lamp Unto My Feet and Light Unto My Path”, we must run to the words of God at bad times and seek help both professionally and from the holy spirit who is our counsellor.
