IS NOT TIME TO QUIT – Daily Devotional (August-23-2021)

Daily Devotional (August-23-2021) IS NOT TIME TO QUIT.

Scripture Reference: 1 Samuel 30:6 – “And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.”_

David was very, very sad because his men wanted to throw stones at him. They wanted to kill him. His men were very angry because they had lost their sons and their daughters. David had led them for battle and at their return they met this heartbreaking event. But David believed that the Lord his God would help them. And so he became stronger.

One other thing is that David encouraged himself because of his men with Him. It takes selfishness to give up in life. What ever happened didn’t only happen to David’s men but he himself was included. _(1 Samaul 30:5 EasyEnglish) “David had two wives. One wife was Ahinoam from Jezreel. The other wife was Abigail. She had been the wife of Nabal from Carmel. The Amalekites had taken both of David’s wives.”_ He decided not to give up because of his men.

You have come this far, don’t quit on yourself. The best is on the rising my dear. The Lord you have believed is a faithful God, He is the only one that does not disappoint. He is God, He is more than a professional one, He never fails and will never fail you. You’re not the only one He is dealing with will ever deal with. You to encourage yourself and move on because the best of your life is yet to come. Don’t give up because of an issue or something someone did, you are better than how you see yourself today.

I know the Lord that He will do it. If you give Him your heart He will transform you into a testimony. You have to know that life is not only about you but it is also others. _(1John 3:16 ISV) “This is how we have come to know love: the Messiah gave his life for us. We, too, ought to give our lives for our brothers.”_ This is how we know what love is. Love directed to yourself is called selfishness. Christ gave his own life and he died for us. This shows us how we should really love other people. We ought to give our lives for other Christians.

Prayer – Dear Father, the Word of God is working in me producing the best, I refuse to give up on myself and on my brethren. I’m the light of the World and the solution to challenges of this world because I have the Holy Spirit in the inside of me in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
