David Jeremiah The Great Deceiver Who Seeks to Destroy : The senior pastor of Shadow Mountain Community church and the founder of Turning Point Ministry, Dr David Jeremiah has come through with this wonderful message titled ”The Great Deceiver Who Seeks to Destroy”
In this sermon by pastor David Jeremiah, he started by referring to 1 Timothy 4:1 which says; the spirit expressly says that in latter times, some will depart from the faith, giving heed to the deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.
According to Pastor Jeremiah, as we draw closer to the second coming of Christ, we are witnessing increase in demonic activities all around the world.
Today in Europe especially in Italy, satanic worship is on the rise.
The bible in Ephesians 6:12 says; we do not wrestle against Fresh and Blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, and against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
According to John Philip, Our enemies are not people. We must see beyond people. Satan may use people to persecute us, lie to us, cheat us, hurt us or even kill us, but our real enemy lurks in the shadow of unseen world, moving people as pawns on the chessboard of time. As long as we see people as enemies and wrestle against them, we will spend our strength in vein.
It is the fact that in our today’s society, churches, small groups etc, we focus more on the people and we lose focus on where the battle is really being fought. And if we continue this way, we will continue to lose , we will continue to go backward in our Christian experience.
Describing the actions of the devil, Dr David Jeremiah said, the devil seduces, he opposes, he resists, he deceives, he hinders, he tempts, he blasphemes etc.
All the activities of the devil are deceitful, divisive and destructive. All aimed at diminishing and defacing the glory of God and the effectiveness of his people.
